ABOUT THE ARTIST
Frank Blackwell is an environmental portrait
and landscape photographer and has been studying photography
for most of his life. Although an avid practitioner of digital
technology and computer graphics, Frank maintains a lasting
interest in traditional photography and directs much of his
photographic attention to the creation of the final print.
After spending many years primarily photographing people,
Frank developed an interest in landscape photography and traveled
extensively in pursuit of interesting and unusual scenes.
In many ways his work has come full circle with his current
emphasis being placed upon a combination of portraiture and
interesting settings. Many of his images are created outdoors
at dusk or after dark. Night photography is something that
began as a fascination and has become a frequent component
of his work.
