I travel three or four times each year for the purpose
of taking photographs. I love traveling, and I love photography, so what better
way to make a living? I'm available for assignments and willing to take requests
for special images of any place in the world. I always keep these requests in
mind so, if there is a certain image that you might like photographed, please
drop me a line and I'll consider it when I'm in that particular part of the world.
I tend to photograph places these days more than I do people, but I do enjoy
photographing people as well. My home is in Connecticut and I can be reached
at the number listed above. Please enjoy my site and, if you care to, drop me
a note to tell me what you think of my images.
The photographs on this site are intended for display on corporate walls, residential walls and public spaces. Every image displayed is available for purchase as either an Iris or Ilfochrome print. All images are sold as limited editions.
Once a print is purchased, if not completely satisfied with the piece, it can be returned within 30 days for a full refund of the purchase price.
Iris (Giclee) prints are digital prints which are first photographed on conventional film. A high resolution drum scan is made of the film and the image is then printed on watercolor paper. The effect, while remaining truly photographic, resembles a watercolor painting. The result can be quite stunning and the detail is wonderful. If you have any questions about the process or the technique, please drop me a line.
Ilfochrome prints are made from a traditional photographic process. Ilfochrome printing is one of the most beautiful and archival ways in the world to display a color image. An Ilfochrome print will last approximately 150 years and the colors are truly wonderful to look at. I believe that there is no better photographic process availble today for presenting a color image.
I never use the computer to make changes that are more than minor, but I do sometimes make changes that I feel improve an image. For instance, in the photograph titled "Icelandic Horses", there were originally a series of high tension wires that went across the front of the farm house. I felt that these wires detracted from the overall appeal of the image so when I decided to make a print, I removed the wires digitally. This is a typical example of how I use the computer. Other than that, I never alter an image. And yes, the rainbow in the waterfall is real.
None of these images will be sold in a series of more than 75 pieces. These are all limited edition prints and once 75 copies of any one image has been sold, that image will be discontinued. All images are sold framed and matted in very high quality frames with 8 ply museum quality archival mats. Each image is sold signed, numbered and dated.
