I was on a road trip out west with my friend Willi and we ended up spending a night in Yuma, AZ. We got up the next morning, showered, left the room and headed toward San Diego. After about 20 minutes or a half hour I wanted to stop to take a picture when I suddenly realized I had left all of my cameras in the dresser drawer in our cheap hotel room. So we spun the car around and got back to the hotel as fast as the rental car would take us. When I walked into the room there were three men who didn’t speak any English cleaning up. They stopped working as I opened the drawers and watched me. I could tell from their faces as I pulled a Leica M6, a Hassleblad 500CM, several lenses and some strobes out of the dresser drawers, that had they found the cameras before I got back there, I would have never taken the picture you see posted here. Willi and I left the hotel, had breakfast, and spotted a poster for a rodeo that morning in Yuma. I had never been to a rodeo before, and haven’t been to one since – but it was a very cool thing to see. I’m glad my cameras were still in those drawers.Drop us a note or call 203 208-2838 to discuss ideas, time frame, and pricing.
