Photographing a landscape isn’t all that different than photographing people. Landscape photography should convey the soul of the land as much as a portrait might express the soul of the person. I believe that the land we stand on does have a soul. Soil nourishes, plants breath, flowers bring us joy, and air fills our lungs to give us life. Water flows, breezes refresh us, rain replenishes the air, snow shimmers with beauty, and skies color our world differently according to the time of day. We are connected to the land, and the land is connected to us. I hope you get a sense of that connection from my landscapes.
